The Veuve Clicquot house unveils an extra-brut champagne produced from a blend of reserve wines only. This extraordinary vintage is composed of the vintages 1988, 1996, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010. Out of a magnificent structure, it is a champagne that combines opulence and freshness, intensity and finesse. All the know-how of the house, the creativity and avant-gardism of its Head of Cellar, are highlighted here, in the realization of this exceptional wine.
Dosé at 3g / L, Extra Brut Extra Old expresses its maturity with purity. Its double aging from 3 to 27 years before assembly and 6 years after the assembly of reserve wines marks its complex and refined identity in the most beautiful way.
Intensely golden, its bubble is very thin, its pressure being only 4.5 bar instead of the 6 bar that is commonly found. On the nose is a large and dense champagne, on fragrances of ripe fruit and citrus candied. At the same time deep and silky in first mouth, one notes its freshness and its minerality which draw towards a long and saline finish.
With a guard potential of 10 to 15 years, this subtle and complete cuvée can be enjoyed on a white meat or a noble fish.
