Champagne Robert Moncuit
The vineyard was established in 1889 by the grandfather of Robert Moncuit .
It was in 1928 that Robert Moncuit third generation already passionate of wine, produced his first vintage from only Chardonnay from Mesnil- sur-Oger Grand Cru.
Today his grandson, Pierre Amillet works and sells the entire harvest as Récoltant Manipulating worldwide .
In the tradition of his grandfather, Pierre developed this champagne house and takes special care to preserve this terroir and give it a true identity. No herbicide is applied , leaving that up till that promotes root and soil microbial life .
As in years past the vineyard is in clean and sustainable viticulture and with less use of chemicals, no insecticide, a homecoming to have a living soil .
The harvest is manual , this vineyard harvesting grapes naturally ripe and healthy to avoid chaptalisation (adding sugar). Each parcel is squeezed separately to guide future assembly for different vintages.
Robert Moncuit home is an excellent winemaker, high quality and which is located on one of the most famous side of the Côte des Blancs and champagne villages.
