Philipponnat the family was established in champagne since the sixteenth century. In 1910, the two brothers Auguste and Pierre created the eponymous house and made the acquisition of old cellars in Mareuil-sur-Ay. In 1935, Pierre Philipponnat acquired the Clos des Goisses a vineyard of 5.5 ha. In 1987, it merged with Marie Brizard to join in 1997, Boizel-Chanoine-Champagne group.
The vines mostly composed of pinot noir, extend from Mareuil-sur-Ay-Avenaiy Val'd'Or, Mutigny and Ay.
The style of the wines Philipponnat gained in precision and phrase in recent years. It has the distinction of being vinous and harmonious: the 1522 vintage and Clos des Goisses focused and persistent. Large and powerful, they go perfectly with any meal.
A beautiful champagne house will surprise you with the quality of these wines to discover absolutely.
