Owner noted of 5 by Larousse guide of champagne
What superlatives to describe this legendary champagne house, steeped in history ... Louis Roederer has been the Official Supplier of the Imperial Court of Russia by Nicolas II. She created the first Prestige Cuvée Champagne: "le Cristal" which became the emblem of this magnificent home. Owned by the same family since its founding in Reims in 1776, Louis Roederer is now one of the great Champagne houses still independent. In 1876, Louis Roederer son, who succeeded his father created the Cristal cuvee for Tsar Alexander II. It uses a Flemish master glassmaker who designs an exceptional crystal bottle, so strong that it allows its bottom to be flat ... Thus was born the cuvée Cristal, the first prestige cuvée of champagne. For its size, diversity and quality, the vineyards of Louis Roederer is certainly a major asset that founded the House policy, protects independence and provides control of the style of its champagnes. Its 200 acres are located exclusively in the Grands Crus and Premiers of the three regions of Champagne. Reflecting the spirit of perfection of the House, the Louis Roederer style is based on precision, patience and attention to detail. Louis Roederer is necessary for aging times well above the regulatory and Champagne uses: three and a half years for the Brut Premier, Millésimés for 5 years, 6 years for Cristal.
