In 1996, Champagne René LALLIER James was born with a maximum production of 200 000 bottles per year. Passion and knowledge are the two key words of LALLIER House, whose vineyards cover 12 hectares planted in Chardonnay and Pinot Black, 8 benefit from the Grand Cru appellation. The peculiarity of the House is to proceed to draw their bottles more with corks and staples for better wine aging on lees, as the ancients did. The family moved to LALLIER AY over five generations. The kings of France (Henry IV and François 1er) chose the "Famous wines AY" (these wines were quiet in their time, Champagne appeared later). Their wines are bottled after assembly in the spring and remain in the cellars of their ideal maturation time before be served, at least 36 months for all of their Grand Cru Champagnes. Their joints are exclusively made from Chardonnay and Pinot Black to develop the entire range LALLIER.
